FAQ

What does a chiropractor do?

Chiropractors are specialists in assessing the spine and nerve system for dysfunction. Once located and anaylsed chiropractors carry out specific adjustments to restore proper spine and nerve system function which results in the body being better able to heal, regulate and adapt.

Did you know chiropractic is the only health profession that specifically addresses nervous system function as it’s number one goal?

Who should go to a chiropractor

Everyone can benefit from chiropractic care! Whether you are a baby, a child, a pregnant mum, an athlete or a senior, the role of a family chiropractor is to address nervous system interference in you. When the brain and body are free of nervous system interference, people often experience better sleep, moods, mobility, energy, healing, immunity etc.

What health issues can chiropractic care help with?

Your nervous system coordinates and controls all bodily functions. When it’s not working well your body might try to communicate this to you through a number of diffrent symptoms:

  • Headaches

  • Poor posture

  • Aches and pains

  • Limited motion

  • Lack of energy

  • Immune compromise

  • Poor sleep

  • Mood swings

  • Poor digestion etc.

Many of our patients report that not only do their symptoms subside but they feel a better level of overall health!

Is chiropractic care safe for infants?

Absolutely! We recommend infants get checked as soon as possible after birth to relieve any stress or tension from the birth process. Chiropractic care may help with several common infant complaints, such as colic and digestive problems, and reduce fussiness and crying. In addition, studies have indicated that chiropractic care may improve sleep and increase the overall health of infants.

I do not like the pop/crack noise, are there other techniques?

Yes! Despite their being numerous videos online of very intense manipulations, chiropractors are trained in a multitude of techniques that do not require a pop. Adjustments can be made with hands, using a specialised instrument or a special table and are gentle and specific to the patients needs. Each patient is thoroughly assessed to determine the technique that is most comfortable and bring the most benefits to them.
